My holiday in Kenya
In March the 29th I went to Kenya for my Easter holiday and I stayed there until April the 16th. First we went to Nairobi and stayed in the Norfolk Hotel it is more than 100 years old. On our first day there we went out to walk around Nairobi and bought some sun hats for me and Archie and a kikoy each. The next day we drove through the great rift valley to Magadi lake where Daddy grew up and had lunch there Magadi lake has pink water and when it is dry they dig it up and make it into glass. Then we went to Amboseli and the first thing we did was have a safari drive with Daniel and Jackson they were really nice people and we saw loads of elephants, wildibeest, zebra and three lions. In Amboseli we slept in a tent and had night drives I slept in a tent with Archie and Dad slept in a tent with Mum. Then we went to the Mara and saw four cheetahs loads of lion and we saw loads of baby wildibeest. In the Mara we stayed in tents by the river. The tents were very nice inside and every night we got a hot waterbottle in our beds. On our last night we had our supper under the stars. The we went to Manda Bay and made some friends called Jack, Oscar and Dumpling (Dumpling is a dog). We went to the beach there and it was my favourite place because it was very hot and I liked the people because they were kind. Me, Mummy, Daddy and Archie liked it so we are going to go there again one day in two years time. Then we went to the coast of Kenya and went to the Hemmingways hotel where we met some friends called Jack, Oliver, George and Elios we played with them in the swimming pool and went crab hunting we stayed out very late to have supper with the grown ups and have ice cream. My favourite restaurant I went to was called the Carnivore they kept carving stuff off until you said stop and there was this little pyramid with a flag and if you take it down it means you surrender and they won't give you any more food and Daddy had the most food as you would have known.
