South Africa

In the middle of December me Mummy and Archie went on a big long journey to South Africa. Unluckily Dad could not come because of his pub and his partner (Ben Maschler) was in New Zealand for his sister's wedding. Dad drove us to Heathrow and said godbye and then we got onto the big airbus A360. It took about 11 hours and 10 minutes to get to Capetown and when we got there we rented a Toyota Yaris and did a five hour drive to Wilderness. We stayed in a house called Eden House and there were so many rooms in it so we got a whole room each and there was still two more rooms left. Two days into the holiday we met two little boys called Oliver (6) and his older brother George (8). We all thought Oliver was very mature for his age because he wasn't like a normal six year old. I really like to play with them and one morning they took us to the rock pools and we went to look for fish, crabs and octopus we only got four fish in the end and I have a picture of two of them:

The beaches were really nice but one day there was a big big big wave that washed our bag until it was so wet and the cameras inside got really wet and stopped working. We had to look all the way down the beach to find our flip-flops but luckily in the end we found them all. So the next day we got some new cameras which I think were about as good as the old ones. They once had a party at their house and we took their little three-wheeler plastic bikes and went down a really steep hill on them. Soon after that they had to leave and we couldn't play with them any more. But luckily we still had Mum so we played with Mum and made big big big big sandcastles. Then we had to go and went to our friends in Hermanus. Their names were Christopher (11) Olivia (6) and Nicholas (4). They were really fun to play with and the beaches near their house were very very crowded not likes the ones in Wilderness but they were still really fun. Then we had to go to Capetown to get back on the plane to London.
